West University Softball Association plays ASA rules with some additions and exceptions.

Only minor modifications to the WUSA Rules were made in 2011:
- Rules regarding the duration of games, time limits and the "4 inning minimum requirement" where clarified.
- A 4 run limit per-inning was adopted as a standard in all divisions that keep score.
- The draft rules were standardiazed across all divisions.
- The rules on tournament team eligibilty were clarifed.
