WUSA is so proud of two former WUSA players, Danielle Allen and Kacey Cramer, who are now all grown up and headed off to college to play softball! Dani, who is a senior pitcher and outfielder at Lamar High School, has signed with Sam Houston State. Kacey, who plays third base and pitches for Episcopal High School, has committed to play at Williams College.
Dani started playing in WUSA at age 6 on Coach Chip Johnson's Comets squad after moving to the area from California. Kacey's softball career began on Coach Steve Howard's Shamrocks team (after a couple of wayward years in West U Little League). In addition to their spring teams, both Dani and Kacey played on many WUSA summer tournament teams, including the Tigers, Xtreme, and the Wave!
Dani and Kacey would like to thank their coaches for all their help over the years, including WUSA greats Fred Dupre, Don Beckham, Joe Franz, Bob Cannon, Vance Tillman, and Richard Legler, just to name a few. Ladies, we will be rooting for you at the next level! Way to go!
