On Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Opening Ceremonies for WUSA's Spring 2019 season, the league awarded its first college scholarships to four outstanding high school seniors. Allison Clark, Lauren Harpold, Hattie Meehan and Kate Williford will each receive $2,000 from WUSA, towards their Freshman year college tuition and expenses. Each one of these four young ladies were dedicated WUSA players from 6U through 14U.
All four exemplified excellence in both academics and athletics through their high school years. WUSA is extremely excited to offer scholarships to the young ladies that have helped make WUSA such a fun and competitive place to experience the sport of softball, and we could not have asked for a better group of WUSA Alumni to accept the league's first offering of these scholarships. Congratulations to Allison, Lauren, Hattie and Kate!
